Continuing Pharmacy Education

The University of Houston College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing Education (066-000-05-001-C01 2.0 CEUs). Pharmacists documenting attendance by signing in and completing evaluations will receive a statement of credit at the end of the program.

(0.65 CEU/6.5 Hrs) Pharmacist: If you are IV certified, this is your opportunity to train your technicians for state IV certification using our methods in your facilities.

Infectious Diseases Symposium

This program is intended for health professionals who desire to increase their knowledge of the latest developments in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy.

Upon completion of the program, the health professional should be able to:

1. Outline an approach to treatment infections caused by multi-drug resistant organisms.
2. Discuss the current issues on regarding outpatient management of anti-infectives in cancer patients.
3. Discuss therapeutic dilemmas in the management of HIV patients.
4. Discuss specific treatment plans for the emerging infectious diseases.
5. Discuss the management of C. difficile associate diarrhea.
6. Outline an approach to the treatment of bacterial meningitis.
